Rose and Crown

Location

The unspoilt and tranquil village of Cark-in-Cartmel lies near to Morecambe Bay. The small village has two pubs, a village shop and a post office and is relatively unaffected by the high influx of tourism that can crowd the central areas of Lakeland. It is approx 1 mile from the historic Holker Hall and 3 miles from Cartmel on the B5278. Grange over Sands is just down the coast.

Description

The Rose and Crown will greet you with a warm welcome. This is an old attractive pub with window boxes and a quaint olde worlde atmosphere. The pub has stone walls and an open fire. The pub has an underwater well which gives fresh water into the pub via an old pump. Here you can chose from a very varied menu of all home prepared dishes. Our specials change on a weekly basis and we use local produce including game and fish. With a good range of beers, local real ales and a selection of fine wines, the pubs atmosphere is finished off with a resident Ghost!
