Marple is a suburban community which has been absorbed into the Stockport conurbation. It lies approx 3 miles from Stockport and has its own commercial and shopping area. The Pineapple sits near to the centre the village, and fringes on the main pedestrianised area. There are shops and offices nearby, however the main customer base in from locals. This house is situated on a busy corner at the top of the village centre. It is a brick built pub that has a big reputation for spawning world class champion darts players. It is a well know community local with not only a number of darts teams but also pool. There is occasional entertainment on offer. There is a small kitchen, however, this is only used to cater for the teams. To the rear there is a small car park (6 cars) and a smoking shelter. |
