The pub is located in Stockport town centre and is adjacent to the newly refurbished Victoria Market. This is an historic site and location and is part of the Heritage Trail. There is a large open air market held every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Stockport is one of the major towns in the Greater Manchester are and is well served by rail and road links. It is approximately 8 miles from Manchester Airport. |
Description |
The pub occupies a very imposing position next to the Victorian Market. Its impressive façade is on 2 floors. The front of the building has 4 wooden benches that often have umbrellas in them. This is a very busy area of the old part of the town. |

The ground floor trading area has a central servery and three main drinking areas off it. The whole ground floor has been recently redecorated and a new wooden floor put down. The overall standard of furnishing and décor is good. There is a full programme of entertainment planned. There is a catering kitchen which is well equipped. On the first floor there is a function room with its own bar. There is also a well equipped stage, and a fully operational PA system . It can accommodate up to 100 people. |
